This year, the Winter Solstice will be celebrated on December 20.  It is the darkest moment, right before the return of the light, when the days begin to get longer.

During this time of year with all the festivities, it is hard to think about slowing down and taking time for ourselves, but this is the perfect opportunity to let go of whatever you are ready to release and turn toward the light with the earth.

The Winter Solstice invites us to follow nature. As it gets colder and quieter outside, with the birds heading south and other animals hibernating, we too begin to understand that we need to slow down connect more with our inner self, and live more in the quiet and stillness.

“Here in the stillness of the solstice we pause and become aware of our visions and the seeds of our future growth waiting for birth.”
Glennie Kindred
This week to celebrate the Winter Solstice we will do a yin practice to help slow the bodies down preparing them for the turn toward the sun, using this time for deep reflection on what we want to let go of to be able to move forward toward the light.
See you there!
