Gratitude is a practice of turning what we have into enough.
This week being Thanksgiving I thought it appropriate for us to practice Gratitude.
In Yoga we try to practice this on the mat by being grateful to our bodies during our Asana practice as well as during our breathing practice, Pranayama. You may hear me say, “Take an inhale through both nostrils and allow that inhale to be the constant reminder that you are alive; feeling internally grateful for this”.
As important as it is on the mat to have gratitude for our practice and bodies, it is just as important to practice gratitude off our mats and to make it part of one’s nature. Sharing it with our family, loved ones, and strangers that we encounter in our daily lives.
Thanksgiving is a great time to celebrate being thankful & grateful.
Take the time this week to verbally thank someone that you are grateful to have in your life.
